Nova Scotia gymnasts win team title for Canada at Gymnastics Meet in Portugal

Monday, May 2, 2016 - 10pm

Anadia, Portugal – Local gymnasts, Jillian Langille (Windsor Junction, NS) and Enya Pouliot (Bedford, NS) of TAISO Gymnastics Training Centre in Lower Sackville, were part of a 3 member Canadian team that captured a Team title at the International GymSport Gymnastics Competition in Anadia, Portugal this past weekend.  The third member of the team was Hayley de Jong of Vancouver, BC.   There were 15 countries in the meet. In the Junior All Around competition, De Jong was 1st and Pouliot placed 3rd.  In the event finals Pouliot took home a bronze medal on floor in the Junior category.

In the Youth category, TAISO gymnast, Jordyn Ewing (Hammonds Plains, NS) won Gold in the All Around competition, Jillian Langille was 4th and Camryn Pellerine (Hammons Plains, NS) also from TAISO, was 6th. Langille also won Gold on Vault and Pellerine won Bronze on beam.
